There are significant delays and tailbacks on a main Isle of Wight road ahead of rush hour this afternoon (Tuesday, January 9).
Four-way temporary traffic lights are in place at Whiteley Bank, while Island Roads carries out road improvement works.
With Leeson Road in Ventnor closed due to the major landslide last month, Whiteley Bank has become one of the only main routes into the South Wight town.

The County Press has been told Southern Vectis routes two and three are experiencing delays.
Traffic heading towards Whiteley Bank from Godshill should expect tailbacks from around Sandford Garage.
Motorists can also expect delays on the A3020 (Shanklin Road) and Canteen Road, from Apse Heath.
UPDATE: The road has returned to usual traffic.
