COASTGUARD volunteers and firefighters on the Isle of Wight rescued a young dog which fell off a cliff.
The Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team and the crew of an Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service appliance were called out to a cliff, at Niton, just after 5pm yesterday (Sunday).
In darkness, a two-year-old dog, named Skye, was safely recovered, thanks to the joint efforts of both teams, who used specialist ropes and climbing equipment.
