Hundreds of Islanders are expected to flock to the coast after Christmas for the annual Boxing Day swims across the Isle of Wight.

Gurnard
This year’s Boxing Day dip in Gurnard will be raising money for much-needed funding for The Wave Project to help children struggling with mental health issues.
The dip gets underway at 11am on Gurnard Green.

Ryde
Ryde’s Sea Swim gets started at 10am from Ryde Beach Lifeguard Station, near the Big Kahuna beach cafe.
Seaview
Springvale Beach in Seaview will host a Boxing Day swim in memory of Zoe Panayi.
Zoe’s brother, Charalambous, has been taking on 12 challenges in ten months, which includes the Seaview Boxing Day swim.

A spokesperson for the Zoe’s Law campaign said: “It would be amazing to see as many of Zoe's friends and family there to celebrate Zoe again!”

Ventnor
A favourite for many Island swimmers and paddlers, the Ventnor Boxing Day swim attracts hundreds of participants – with hundreds more spectating – each year.
Taking place off the Esplanade, this year’s swim is in aid of Ventnor Carnival Association, PATCH, Ventnor Foodbank and Wroxall Foodbank, with collection buckets available on the day.
The swim gets underway at midday.

Shanklin
Shanklin’s Small Hope Beach will welcome brave souls for their Boxing Day charity swim at 12.30pm.
The Salix Beach Cafe will be open from 9am, offering food and hot drinks.
The swim aims to raise money for the Sandown and Shanklin Independent Lifeboat.
