An Isle of Wight dental practice has won the top prize at the prestigious National Dentistry Awards, claiming the title of ‘Best Team’ in the UK.
Denbigh House Dental Practice won the accolade for the South East region, but was also named the overall UK winner, at an awards ceremony held in Leicester.
The team were also finalists for the Best Practice Award, which they previously won in 2020.
Beating thousands of applicants from NHS and private practices, the team is understandably proud to represent the Island and Denbigh House.
The Ryde-based NHS team said they are hard at work and emphasise with the public about access to dental services, which they say seems to be increasingly underfunded and under-supported.
The practice cares for 12.5 per cent of Islanders and, with the closure of further NHS practices, is operating at maximum capacity.
A spokesperson told the County Press: “We are proud that our positive teamwork, dedication to the Island community, along with voluntary work, training and development of the profession at regional level and staff locally, has been recognised.”
