A burst main on the Isle of Wight has left homes and businesses, including McDonald's, without water this afternoon (Monday, December 18).
Southern Water teams are on site repairing a burst main in the PO33 1YW area of St Helens, which was first reported at 10.45pm.
Engineers were on site investigating and making necessary repairs by 1.15pm.
The affected area reaches as far as Marlborough Road and Great Preston Road in Ryde, and McDonald's is currently closed due to having no water.
Southern Water said: “We have a team on site repairing the burst. Your water supply should return to normal within three hours.
“You may notice some discolouration or low pressure at first; this is completely normal when there’s been a disruption to the supply and is only temporary.
“Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused."
UPDATE 4.30PM: Southern Water are reporting that repairs remain ongoing.
