Children across the Isle of Wight were getting into the Christmas spirit in the run up to today (Monday, December 25) with schools performing a range of nativities, shows, carol concerts and other festive events.

Students at The Bay CE School in Sandown enjoyed lots of festive activities in the lead up to the big day.
Children from primary site took part in a number of shows, including a reception nativity sing-along, key stage one’s Christmas concert and key stage two's Christmas carol service at St John’s Church.
Meanwhile, Bembridge CE Primary told the story of Christmas with their production ‘Behind the Stable Door’.
Held at Holy Trinity Church, the school had every animal present and some rock and roll kings too.
At Wootton Primary School, children performed their nativity 'no one wraps like an elf,' starring Sadie McQuillan as Little Elf.
