Drivers are asked to take extra care this morning after a flock of 50 sheep escaped along the Military Road.

Isle of Wight Police said they were made aware at 8am of approximately 50 sheep running around in the road, near to Freshwater Bay.

A spokesperson said: "Please be aware a sheep could surprise you or be in the road when you are driving in that area. Enquires are on-going to locate the owner."
