HOUSEHOLDERS and businesses living in part of Wootton are without power this afternoon (Sunday) following an 'unplanned' outage.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) says five postcodes have been hit by the cut, with the Kite Hill Nursing Home among those businesses affected.
A power cut, according to SSEN, was first reported at 12.24pm.
Post codes affected are PO33 4AB, PO33 4LE, PO33 4LF, PO33 4LG and PO33 4PB.
SSEN said engineers are aware of the problem and are en route to the area.
A spokesperson for the utility company said: "We’re sorry for the loss of supply. We currently have a fault affecting the areas listed.
"Our engineers are working hard to get the power back on as quickly as they can.
"If you need more information, please call us on 105 or send us a message on Facebook or Twitter (@ssencommunity) and quote reference MY8603."
UPDATE 3.50PM — Incident closed. Power restored.
