CHOPPY conditions on The Solent have affected hovercraft flights this morning (Saturday).
Hovertravel services between Ryde and Southsea have been cancelled due to strong winds, with an update expected from the cross-Solent travel provider at 8.45am.
Tickets will be accepted on Wightlink's Fast Cat service. Please check Hovertravel's disruption contingency plan on its web page for further details.
Red Funnel and Wightlink services are currently running to timetable.

The weather is expected to improve as the day goes on, but a weather warning issued by the Isle of Wight Met Service will remain in place until 10am this morning.

On the Island's roads, diversions remain in place between Sandown and Yarbridge, with Morton Common closed again due to flood water.
Southern Vectis say its buses are diverting via Yaverland and Marshcombe Shute into Yarbridge Cross.
UPDATE 8.45AM Hovercraft services remain cancelled, with a further status update due at 9.45am.
UPDATE 9.52AM Hovercraft flights will resume at 10.15am from Ryde and 10.30am from Southsea.
