The beach steps at a popular Isle of Wight attraction have been closed amid fears of landslips and coastal erosion.
The IW Council has been closely monitoring the steps at The Needles very closely and is starting to become concerned about the proximity of further landslips.
The decision has been made on health and safety grounds, and to protect the general public, to close the steps with immediate effect.
A spokesperson from The Needles Landmark Attraction said: "The IW Council will keep us informed when work has been completed, but this is essential maintenance to protect everyone."
The steps were also closed as recently as March to allow the council to carry out repairs following safety fears.
Due to erosion, one set of steps and a landing near the beach had dropped, and there wasn't sufficient support underneath.
The Needles Landmark Attraction are also currently carrying out winter maintenance on its chairlift.
