A man allegedly caught on an Isle of Wight bus with a knife following a police stop has been arrested and will appear in court later this month.
Police were called shortly before 3.10pm on Friday (December 1) to a report of a man in possession of a knife in Newport.
The man was found on the number three Southern Vectis bus after police stopped the vehicle on St Georges Way near Asda.
Officers searched the man, and a knife was 'found in his possession', said the force.
Tyler Wilkinson, 20, of Atkinson Drive, has been charged with possession of a knife in a public place.
He is due to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court on December 15.
