A fire that tore through a barn in Bowcombe on the Isle of Wight overnight is being investigated as arson, police have confirmed.
Officers and firefighters remain at the scene, on Bowcombe Farm Lane, this afternoon (Friday).
At least 10 pumps and two water carriers were called to the outskirts of Newport, just before 12.30am this morning.
Fire crews were also brought over from Hampshire.

The fire destroyed by 90 per cent of the barn, with the roof collapsing.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said the barn was derelict.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed they were called by the fire service at 1.26am.
Police have since confirmed the blaze is being investigated as a possible arson.
