This year's Salvation Army Christmas Reflections concert will be the last one organised by Ruth Twyman Lockyer.
She has organised the concerts for 15 years and is now stepping down.
As an established poet, she has brought out a small book of Christmas verse, also titled Christmas Reflections, and hopes people will offer donations for the books, to raise money for the Salvation Army's Christmas work with the homeless and lonely.
They are free to anyone donating to the Salvation Army's Christmas work, or there is a recommended donation of £5 - but whatever can be given is gratefully accepted.
The book is available from Cheverton Farm Shop, Godshill, the Salvation Army shop in Shanklin, The Imaginarium at Fort Victoria, Freshwater and Lord Louis Library.
They will also be available at the concert, which is on Saturday, December 9, at The Salvation Army Hall, Pyle Street, Newport at 7pm.
