A SANDOWN man who caused more than £2,200 worth of damage to a Salvation Army hostel in Newport, appeared at an Isle of Wight court.
Gavin Buggs, of Culver Parade, admitted two charges of shoplifting £48 worth of alcohol from Tesco Express, Lake, on August 16 and September 30, and causing £2,230.24 worth of criminal damage, namely windows, at a Salvation Army premises on April 8, when he appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court on Friday, November 10.
A probation officer told magistrates Buggs was due to have a report on him for sentencing on the criminal damage and one of the shoplifting cases, but there was a delay and it was not produced in court.
Meanwhile, the second shoplifting offence committed will be incorporated within the report.
Magistrates reiterated their order for a probation report and bailed Buggs to reappear for sentencing at the same venue on November 24.
