A fun competition is coming to Newport business windows and it will entertain the whole family in the run up  to Christmas.

Here Comes Santa Paws is being organised by Newport Business Association.

Grab yourself an entry form for more information about how to play, and what business are involved in the event, which launches on Saturday, November 18.

Prizes include a Cineworld Family Voucher, a play session at JR Zone, a huge prize bundle worth over £100, a £50 WightCard, a food hamper and loads of local gift vouchers.

The clues and answers revolve around dogs but hopefully you won't be barking up the wrong tree!

All the dogs are animated characters from TV or film, so the game is perfect for all ages as the characters span the decades.

Newport Business Association is also organising a Christmas event, Festive Cheer, on Saturday, December 16.

There will be carols, music and singing, festive hot food/drinks and a face-painter.

Festive Cheer will take place in St Thomas Square and St James Square from 11.30am onwards.

At 4.30pm the Minster Singing for Fun group, Wight Harmony and Wight Diamonds will lead carols around the tree in St Thomas Square.
