A man has been arrested after another man was taken to hospital following an assault outside an Isle of Wight bar late last night (Wednesday, November 1).
Police were called at 11.19pm with reports of an assault outside Tintos Bar on Pier Street, at the junction with Albert Street, in Ventnor.
A man in his 30s suffered facial injuries which required hospital treatment, a spokesperson for the force said.
A 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a Class A drug.
He remains in police custody at this time.
