THE Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for the Isle of Wight as Storm Ciaran moves in.
The amber warning, for an increased likelihood of impacts from severe weather, will hit the Island from 3am on Thursday and will run until 8pm that day.
The amber warning could cause travel delays, road and rail closures, power cuts and the potential of a risk to life and property, the Met Office warns.
It follows a yellow weather warnings for rain and wind on the Island tomorrow (Wednesday).
The first one is in place for wind and rain from 5am tomorrow until 9am, then from 6pm there is a rain warning until midnight and, from 9pm, there is a wind warning until midnight.
