UPDATE: Police update on Niton 'baseball bat' attack as woman bailed

The rampage, through several roads, including Chatfield Road, Rectory Road, Church Street and Blackgang Road, happened before 8.30am.

Police arrested a 33-year-old woman from Niton on suspicion of criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon.

This afternoon, one woman, inspecting the damage to her car, told the County Press she just thought it was 'really sad'.

Villagers are out trying to cover up the smashed windows amid heavy rain so the weather doesn't cause further damage.
