Islanders are braced for strong winds and heavy rain has the effects of Storm Babet are felt on the Isle of Wight.
Although no weather warnings for the Island have been issued by the Met Office, local forecaster the Isle of Wight Met Service has put a yellow alert in place.
It comes into force from 12pm today (Wednesday) and warns of winds of between 40 to 50mph.
Rainfall of 20 to 25mm in some places, is also expected.

Forecaster Jamie Russell said: "A large area of rain will push across the area from the South during Wednesday afternoon.
"Rainfall totals will vary from just 8-10mm in some areas but as high as 20-25mm locally, falling in a rather short space of time, and this will be accompanied by some very strong and gusty winds of 40-50mph from the southeast but turning into the southwest during the evening."
Last night already saw strong winds and rain in some parts of the Island.
