A local forecaster has issued a weather warning for heavy rain as the Isle of Wight braces itself for the impacts of Storm Babet.
The Isle of Wight Met Service is also warning of winds of up to 50mph.
Forecaster Jamie Russell said: "A large area of rain will push across the area from the South during Wednesday afternoon.
"Rainfall totals will vary from just 8-10mm in some areas but as high as 20-25mm locally, falling in a rather short space of time, and this will be accompanied by some very strong and gusty winds of 40-50mph from the southeast but turning into the southwest during the evening."
