Police are back in the West Wight this afternoon (Sunday), following the discovery of a new suspicious package on an Isle of Wight beach.
Hampshire and IW Constabulary has arrived at the scene and the police helicopter has been overhead.

Yesterday, Hampshire and IW Constabulary announced it was working with Dorset Police and Border Force, investigating the discovery of what it called a 'significant quantity' of what is believed to be cocaine.
Through a National Crime Agency statement, Islanders were warned to expect a greater than normal police presence in the West Wight and were urged to be on the lookout for suspicious packages.
On October 2, a fisherman found holdalls containing hundreds of kilos of powder in the sea off Dorset, at St Aldhelm’s point and Durdle Door.

Hampshire and IW Constabulary told the Isle of Wight County Press it would not be commenting on every new discovery, but urged Islanders to report finds for further arrangements.
