A fire in a block of flats led to a call-out for firefighters to Newport, in the early hours of this morning (Friday).
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said it received a report of a blaze at 4.03am.
A fire had broken out at flats in Hookes Way, just off the Dual Carriageway.
It started in the building's stairwell, the fire service said.
Four fire engines attended - three from Newport Fire Station and one from Cowes.
Firefighters have since stood down from the incident.
