The Isle of Wight Literary Festival opens today and we have picked out five amazing events you can still get tickets for.
1. The Isle of Wight's own Philip Norman is talking about the second volume of his memoirs, We Danced On Our Desks, talking about his time as a staff writer in the 60s at the Sunday Times Magazine...they say the stories make The Borgias look tame!
2. Wine Tasting with Helen McGinn - Saturday Kitchen and This Morning's goddess of the grapes is the author of The Knackered Mother's Wine Club and invites you to taste some great wines with her.
3. Football fans can explore the biggest rivalry in world football when top journalists Phil McNulty and Jim White talk about their book, Red on Red, which talks about the hostility between Liverpool and Manchester United.
4. A story of love, hope and cancer. That’s the tagline of Sarah Standing’s inspirational book Dancing With the Red Devil, which she discusses at the festival.
5. Martin Sixsmith, an award-winning journalist, unpicks Russia’s teeth baring in The Russian Conundrum: How the West fell for Putin’s Power Gambit – And how to Fix it.
The festival continues until Sunday, primarily at Northwood House in Cowes.
There's a chance to meet the authors and have books signed.
You'll also find a book store and cafe for refreshments.
