After almost ten years, those at the helm of a much-loved, seaside Isle of Wight restaurant have announced they are bidding a fond farewell.
The Ocean Deck Bar & Restaurant, which is on Sandown Esplanade and is run by Alan and Hayley Staley, is to close at the end of next month (October).
"As the end of our ten year lease draws close, and our beautiful Island becomes quieter, we will be closing our doors after Sunday carvery, on Sunday, October 29", a post on the restaurant's Facebook page said.
The restaurant first opened in 2000. Alan and Hayley took it over in March 2014.
The restaurant has become well-known for its Sunday carveries and boasts stunning views of Sandown Bay.
As it enters its final month of business, customers are being urged to book in advance.
The post said: "Please note we will close after carvery every Sunday from now on.
"Booking a table in the restaurant at any time is very useful, but more now than ever, as opening hours will be in line with the demands of the business.
"We will close / close early if it is particularly quiet, especially when the weather is not in our favour.
"We look forward to seeing you all in our final month and thank you for your continued support over the past ten years."
To book, you can call the restaurant on 01983 403960 or message via Facebook.
