AN ISLE of Wight man urinated on stock in Aldi, an Isle of Wight court heard.
The man appeared before Isle of Wight magistrates last week and admitted criminal damage in the Lake store.
Prosecutor, Lauren Stone, said the man urinated on soft furnishing stock in the middle aisle, and the incident was captured on CCTV.
He told staff members he had a medical reason for doing what he did and offered to pay for the damaged items.
Barry Arnett, defending, said: “For what it’s worth, you can see he carefully positions himself, so you don’t see what he is doing.”
Mr Arnett said the man had a bladder infection and was desperate.
He said he thought there was a toilet at the back of the store, and was ashamed of what he did.
The man was ordered to pay £204.75 compensation to Aldi.
