An historic Isle of Wight attraction looks set to go under the hammer next month (October).

Calbourne Water Mill, the only working water mill on the Island, has been put up for sale by public auction.

Listed through Rightmove, offers of £1.75 million and upwards are being invited.

As well as the water mill, the price includes 14.2 acres of land, on-site holiday accommodation, cafe, gift shop and museum.

It is being auctioned by Nottingham-based, Auction Estates.

The mill, which was sold to the Chaucer family in 2000, boasts a rich history and was first mentioned in the Domesday Book AD1086.

It was first listed for sale in 2018, at which point it was available for £2.3 million.

It is set to go to auction on October 26.
