A burst water main has closed a main road in Ryde this morning (Friday).
St John's Hill has been shut to allow Southern Water, through its partner Clancy, to carry out repairs.
The water main has burst near to the road's junction with Lower Highland Road.
The road is closed from its junction with Alexandra Road and Oakfield High Street.
Southern Vectis buses are diverting as a result.
The firm's routes 3 and 8 are to divert in and out of Ryde via East Hill Rd, Esplanade, Dover Street and Star Street to reach George Street.
