Two popular Isle of Wight fish and chip shops are for sale and already under offer following their immediate closures last month.
Happy Haddock’s Shanklin and Sandown High Street shops were both closed with immediate effect "until further notice" on Saturday, August 26.
The closures shocked East Wight residents, who now have a dwindling choice of chip shops following the closure of Lake Fish Bar earlier in August.
The Shanklin shop, located in a freehold building, consists of a ground-floor fish and chip shop and a two-bed flat, while the Sandown shop is a leased retail premises on the ground floor.
In a statement to the County Press at the time of the closure, a spokesperson for the business said Happy Haddock was ‘in the process of making some internal changes’, and an update would follow in early September.
The IWCP team have since contacted Happy Haddock twice, but no further statements have been released.
Offers are invited “in the region of” £350,000 for the fully equipped shops, the freehold of the premises in Shanklin and the assignment of the lease for the Sandown shop.
Both premises are under offer through Gully Howard Commercial Property Agents.
