Ventnor cafe, Besty and Spinky’s, has been named the Isle of Wight County Press Café of the Year 2023.

Co-owner, Allen Best, said: "The whole team are absolutely delighted.

"Life down here on Ventnor seafront is never dull and we have a wide range of customers with parents and their children using the paddling pool, local builders wanting their big breakfasts and of course lots of tourists enjoying the ‘Ventnor Micro-climate’; to have their approval ratified by this award is very satisfying. Thank you all very much and see you very soon.”

Co-owners, Michael Spink, added: "We were up against some very good competition, so to come out ahead is fantastic. We have a great team here with plenty of young talent who deserve recognition. We will be raising a glass in celebration that’s for sure."
