Rock legend and Queen guitarist Sir Brian May has been pictured enjoying a visit to the Isle of Wight.

The legendary musician paid a trip to The Reef, in Sandown.

A post on the restaurant's Facebook page said he had fish and chips and enjoyed drinks with friends.

The rock star was kind enough to pose for a picture with the Paine family, Michael, Emma and Josh, who own the Reef.

He even went for a dip in the sea afterwards, the post said.

It reads: "WOW We have been honoured to meet Brian May today!! What a lovely man.

"He loved the food, and fantastic service and loved the beach so much he went across for a paddle afterwards!"

Sir Brian May also visited the Island in 2016, when Queen headlined the Isle of Wight Festival alongside Adam Lambert.
