THE annual Sandown and Shanklin 10K returns on Sunday.
Runners of all abilities are welcome to take part, with entries accepted on the day, costing £15, which includes a bespoke medal.
To register, go to the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary, Yaverland Road, Sandown, between 9am and 9.45am, with the event starting at 10am.
The run, the latest in the national MCC Promotions 10K Run Series, starts almost opposite the sanctuary, at Yaverland Hill, and continues along the seafront towards Shanklin, turning at the Lazy Wind cafe, and back.
The finish line will be opposite the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary, the 'bag drop' area.
Will Newnham, of Ryde Harriers, holds the men's record, which stands at 32mins 22secs, set in 2021,with clubmate Charlie Metcalfe holding the women's record, of 36.50, set six years ago.
The prizes include ones for veterans (aged over 50), male and female.
Postal entries for it end today (Wedneday).
