A much-loved member of the Island community, Vic died back in May, with well-known Islander and chair of the Newport Carnival Committee, Paddy McHugh, taking the helm.
The event saw vehicles from all over the UK and mainland Europe attend the two-day show.
A record number of cars are believed to have entered the event's 22nd year, some 500, including a Model T Ford, which is more than 100 years old.
The show raised money for MAD-Aid yesterday and Mountbatten today.
At 2pm today, visitors gathered opposite the Harbour Office for a special tribute to celebrate Vic.
Among the highlights were police cars, including a 2014 Dodge Charger, originally in service in Boston, a 2012 version which served Monroe Township New Jersey, and a 2014 Ford Explorer, which travelled all the way from Miami Beach.
Visitors also enjoyed an appearance from Starways Crossplay team and classic car expert and TV presenter Sarah Crabtree.
