Red Funnel has confirmed a number of cancellations to its Isle of Wight to Southampton ferry service today and tomorrow (September 5 and 6).
The cross-Solent travel provider said the disruption is due to fuel contamination on board the Red Eagle.
To rectify the issue, the ferry has been removed from service today (Tuesday), and will remain out until at least Thursday.
Today, the 5pm and 8.15pm sailings from Southampton and the 6.30pm and 9.45pm crossings from East Cowes have been removed.
Tomorrow (Wednesday), the following sailings have been cancelled.
- Departing from Southampton - 5am, 8am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm and 8.15pm.
- Departing from East Cowes 6.30am, 9.30am, 12.30pm, 3.30pm, 6.30pm and 9.45pm.
A spokesperson from Red Funnel said: "We are in the process of contacting affected customers and offering them alternative sailings, and apologise for any inconvenience caused."
