A “CHALLENGING summer” means a popular Isle of Wight attraction will wind down early this year.
Robin Hill has announced it will close in just under a week’s time – a departure from the norm.
The attraction is set to close on Sunday, September 10, and will not reopen until December - for a five-day run of its festive Polar event.
It will come as sad news to many Isle of Wight families, and tourists, looking to make the most of the waning hot weather.
Those who purchased a ticket on a date where the site is now closed have been told their tickets have been transferred to Blackgang Chine.
Frequent visitor passes are also valid at Blackgang Chine for the rest of the season.
Anyone who purchased a Fiesta of the Dead ticket must now travel to the event’s new home at Blackgang.
The County Press has been told some seasonal staff at Blackgang Chine have been let go earlier than expected.
It is understood some staff may be moving from Robin Hill to Blackgang Chine.
