TWO people were injured in a collision involving an ambulance and a car on the Islen of Wight.
Police and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service were called to Fairlee Road, Newport, at 12.49pm today (Sunday).
One person suffered a serious injury to an arm, while the second casualty has minor injuries.
"This is not believed to be life changing, or life threatening, at the current time," a Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary spokesperson said.
A Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue crew from Newport was called at 12.47pm to make the vehicles involved safe.
Officers remain at the scene, with the road currently closed between the Racecourse, Whippingham, and Staplers Road.
