A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after a crash closed a rural road near Apse Heath this afternoon (Friday, September 1).
Police were called at 2.36pm to a report of a collision involving a van and a motorcycle.
The incident happened on Apse Manor Road, a small country lane between Ventnor Road and Shanklin Road.
A spokesperson from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said the motorcyclist was taken to hospital with an ankle injury.
The road remains closed at this current time.
