A paedophile who made dozens of indecent images of children has had his case sent to the Isle of Wight Crown Court.
Calvin Aggar, of Francis Avenue, Southsea, formerly of Copse Lane, Freshwater, appeared before Isle of Wight magistrates on Tuesday, August 29.
He admitted making 16 category A, 24 category B and 26 category C photos of children.
The offences occurred between January 1, 2019 and December 19, 2019.
The court heard how police entered Aggar's then home in Freshwater on December 18 of that year.
Liz Miller, prosecuting, said officers asked Aggar for his mobile and he reached into a box of phones.
They became suspicious when he gave them one, but could not provide the charger.
Ms Miller said he eventually handed them another phone.
The property was searched, various items, including mobiles, a laptop and tower PC, were seized and he was arrested, the court heard.
Police later received a call from Aggar's mum saying she had found his phone down the side of the sofa. It was taken by officers.
Indecent photos and video were found on a number of the seized devices, including 59 indecent images and movies on the tower PC, Ms Miller said.
She said there was evidence to suggest Aggar was distributing the images via social media platform, Kik.
Defending, Amy Hosell, said Aggar deserved credit for entering guilty pleas at the earliest opportunity.
His case was deemed too serious to be dealt with by magistrates and it was sent to the crown court.
He is due to be sentenced on October 3.
He was granted unconditional bail.
