A teenager has been arrested following a large, armed police response to East Cowes yesterday evening (Monday, August 28).
Police were called at 5.50pm yesterday evening (Monday, August 28) to a report of the concern for the welfare of a 16-year-old boy at an address on York Avenue.
Officers attended and various weapons, including a knife and an air gun, were seen.
Specialist officers were deployed to the location to ensure the safety of the boy, officers and members of the public.
A 16 year-old boy from East Cowes has been arrested on suspicion of threats to kill.
He remains in police custody at the current time.
Police had left the scene by 11pm.
