Rescue teams have been dealing with a vessel taking on water off The Needles this afternoon (Monday).

Lifeboats from Freshwater, Mudeford and Lymington were alerted just after 3pm.

The coastguard helicopter from Lee-on-the-Solent was also sent to the scene.

Nearby vessels were also requested to assist.

Rescue teams have now left the incident.

The vessel was towed by the lifeboats to Lymington Harbour.

All people that were onboard are onshore and safe.
