Southern Water worked through the night to fix a burst water main in Brading.

Water was gushing out on to New Road near the junction with Furrlongs, and the roads were awash just after midnight.

By 1am this morning (Sunday), the water rush had stopped.

Householders were warned they could experience short interruptions to supply, or pressure issues.

That warning has since been removed for the area.
