TWO popular Isle of Wight fish and chip shops are to close 'until further notice', it has been announced today.
Happy Haddock said its Shanklin and Sandown High Street shops will both be closed with immediate effect.
A statement said: "The Happy Haddock will be closed until further notice.
"This is for both our Shanklin and Sandown shops.
"More information will be provided in due course.
"Apologies to our customers for any inconvenience."
It comes during a busy bank holiday weekend for the Isle of Wight.
The County Press contacted Happy Haddock for further information and a spokesperson for the business said: "We are just in the process of making some internal changes, and will be able to provide a further statement next week, after the bank holiday weekend."
Happy Haddock opened its second shop in Sandown in the summer of 2020.
Lake Fish Bar also recently announced it would be closing.
Happy Haddock had previously offered free portions of food during school holidays to help during the cost of living crisis.
It also specialises in offering senior meal deals.
