Isle of Wight ferry sailings between Fishbourne and Portsmouth were facing delays this morning (Monday).

Wightlink services had been running 45 minutes late, according to the cross-Solent operator's website.

Ferries from 7.20am until as late as the 11.40am from Portsmouth were among those expected to be hit but, in the last few minutes, the operator updated the information to say its services are now running to time.

Despite the delays, Wightlink was advising passengers to check in 30 minutes (or 15 minutes for foot passengers) before their scheduled sailing time.
