A main road between Ventnor and Shanklin has been closed for tree safety works.
- UPDATE: Leeson Road is now back open and buses are running again.
Leeson Road has been shut on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council, Island Roads said.
It is necessary to allow for works to be carried out by Newport company, Ivy Tree Care.
The closure means drivers needing to travel between Ventnor and Shanklin, will have to head through Wroxall.
Southern Vectis buses are diverting, as a result.
Leeson Road has been closed. Due to this buses are unable to serve stops between Trinity Church and Shanklin Old village. Nearest stop to the Old Village is Shanklin Youth Centre. Buses diverting through Wroxall in both directions.
