AN UNINSURED drug driver caught speeding in a sporty Audi while more than TEN TIMES the legal limit for cocaine — with his toddler son a passenger — was warned of possible imprisonment.
Acer Robinson, of High Street, Wroxall, admitted drug driving, possessing cannabis, speeding and uninsured driving on April 9, when he appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court.
The 27-year-old was caught speeding at 41mph in a 30mph zone, on Newport Road, Ventnor.
Robinson's two-year-old son was in the back seat.
Officers then conducted a roadside drug test, which Robinson failed for cocaine.
They also found a small amount of cannabis in his car, and Robinson was subsequently arrested, said Munayah Hassan, prosecuting.
A further test revealed Robinson had driven with 513 microgrammes of cocaine deritative BZE in his blood. The legal limit is 50.
He was also uninsured to drive.
Robinson did not intend to drive that day, but 'unexpectedly' had to take his son home in his partner's car, said his solicitor, Oscar Vincent.
"He has not used drugs or consumed alcohol since his arrest," said Mr Vincent.
Magistrates ordered a probation report, including custodial options.
Robinson was bailed to reappear on September 1.
