A popular Isle of Wight vegan restaurant has announced its journey is coming to an end, confirming its closure later this year.
Craft and Grind No.9 on Ryde Esplanade opened in December 2020, aiming to be a fun and enjoyable place to hang out.
The business started as a pizza pop-up during lockdown and ended up becoming its own restaurant.
In April, Craft underwent a re-brand, switching up logos and streamlining the kitchen and the bar to focus on what it does best - beer and pizza.
Co-owner, Charlotte, has a full-time job and ran Craft as a hobby which transformed into a love and a passion rather than a necessity for income.
However, announcing via a Facebook post today (Friday, July 21), Charlotte confirmed Craft's doors will open for the last time on Saturday, September 2.
Charlotte said: “So much love to everyone who has supported myself, Daz and the whole team who helped the venture grow.
“We hope you have made great memories eating pizza and drinking beer.”
The business is up for sale, with a chance to continue the craft pizza legacy, and Charlotte says she is open to offers.
The post continued: “Or, if you love our building and location and see yourself starting your own venture in our restaurant, then drop me a message, and I can hook you up with the landlord.”
