Winds of up to 55 mph are expected to hit the Isle of Wight over the weekend.
A weather warning for strong winds has been issued.
The Isle of Wight Met Service alert comes into force on Saturday, July 22.
It is in place from 11am until 3am on Sunday, July 22.
Heavy rain is also expected on Saturday evening.
The forecaster said: "Another spell of unseasonably strong Southwesterly winds are expected to develop across the island through Saturday afternoon and evening, then overnight into Sunday morning.
"The wind strength will be a fair amount lower than the 79mph experienced last weekend at the Needles, but we are still expecting some significantly windy conditions at times, widely gusting to 40-45mph, although perhaps as high as 50-55mph around some of the more exposed coastal areas as well as over high ground."
A number of events have already been cancelled due to the weather.
The annual Pier2Pier swim has been postponed to August 5.
While popular event Festival of Heroes has also been cancelled.
