Daniel Anderson, 36, of Brook Road, Shanklin.

Used a handheld mobile phone/device while driving.

Fine £350, costs £250, surcharge £35, driving record endorsed with six penalty points.

David Tremaine, 62, of Newport Road, Godshill.

Drink driving.

Fine £80, costs £85, surcharge £32, 16-month driving disqualification.

Liam Harper, 24, of York Road, Ventnor.

Drink driving.

Fine £323, costs £85, surcharge £129, 22-month driving disqualification.  

Dylan Tuckey, 23, of Hinton Road, Newport.

Failure to provide a specimen for analysis.

Costs £85, surcharge £114, 12-month community order, to include 20 rehabilitation days and 60 hours of unpaid work, 20-month driving disqualification.

Cameron Younie, 18, of Westfield Park, Ryde.

Drug driving.

Costs £85, surcharge £114, 12-month community order, to include 180 hours of unpaid work, 24-month driving disqualification.

When a court is sitting in the open, the press can report on anything that happens, unless there are specific reporting restrictions.

As a principle, we do not remove a defendant's identifying information (such as name, age and address) from court reports. To do so would be set a precedent and damage the foundations of open justice. It could also defame someone innocent, who happens to have the same name.
