Fifty classic cars, a Second World War by-plane flypast and historic yachts will make Cowes Classics Day 2023 a very special event.

The action all takes place at The Parade in Cowes on Sunday, July 9.

The event is a unique celebration of classic transport, and is open to all and free of charge.

Attractions include classic cars and buses, historic motorboats and yachts.

Weather-permitting, there will also be a flypast by a Second World War bi-plane and a visit by charity fundraiser Major Mick in his rowing dinghy Tintanic.

For visitors from the mainland, Red Funnel Ferries is offering a Cowes Classics Day special return on their Red Jet high-speed service.

There will be themed music on the Bandstand, a food tent, an afternoon tea at the Royal London Yacht Club and a People’s Choice award for the cars.

The yacht club, as organisers of the event, is promoting local shops to hundreds of participants in Cowes Classics Week, starting the same day, through the new Cowes Town Pass.

Conceived to encourage trade in the High Street area, participating businesses are offering discounts.

Cowes Classics Day is supported by Cowes Town Council.
