POLICE are appealing for information and witnesses following the death of a teenage motorcyclist in a road traffic collision on the Isle of Wight.
Police were called to a collision on Hill Lane, at the junction with Pixley Hill, in Freshwater, at 5.32pm last night (Friday).
The collision involved a white Ford Fiesta and a white KTM motorcycle.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 17-year-old boy from Freshwater, died at the scene.
His family are being supported by specialist officers.

A Hampshire and Isle of Wight police spokesperson said: "We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident, or was driving on the A3054 at around 5.30pm yesterday.
"You may have important information for us or relevant dash cam footage of either vehicle.
"If you have any information about this collision, please make a report online via our website, or call 101, quoting reference 44230250617."
A number of road closures were put in place while emergency services attended the accident scene.
The police were joined by ambulances and fire crews from Newport, Shanklin and Freshwater.
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance was also called.
Hill Lane was closed at the junction with Colwell Road, Colwell Road was closed at the junction with Pixley Hill, and Hallett Shute was closed at the junctions with Pixley Hill and West Hill Road, as a result of the crash.
