Customers trying to buy early bird tickets to Isle of Wight Festival 2024 are being urged to 'be patient' after The Price Is Wight website 'crashed'.

Tickets for next year's event went on sale at midday today (Friday).

Within minutes, those flocking to The Price Is Wight reported having problems with the site.

Posting on Facebook, the ticket sellers assured customers they will get their tickets.

"We have a nice healthy allocation of tickets", a post said.

The website said customers are just in a queue as the website is so busy.

Date for 2024 were also released earlier today.

In a change from this year, the festival will take place slightly later than usual.

It is set to be held on June 20 to 23, 2024.
